Vikings vs. Packers NFC wildcard matchup game thread

Discuss any and all NFL-related topics and matters of interest here. RATING: PG-13
  • Here's the box score......

Not sure who to root for, because I'd rather go to Atlanta (IF we win) than San Fran. Would really like a home game though.

That said, I wanna see the underdog Vikings win! Go Vikes!

    The score right now:

    Vikings - 10

    Packers - 24

  • Go Vikings all the way! I'll easily take San Francisco in the later time slot than Atlanta. It gives us the chance to host the NFC Championship game again, and it would be so great to send a hated division rival packing for the season.
World Champion Seattle Seahawks football. It's an addiction, and there is no cure.

  • I want to see Rogers whine after losing tonight. Whining that they would have had a bye if they hadn't been robbed of a certain game earlier in the season.

Go Vikes. Shove the fail mary down the GB throats.

  • Since our game with them I've watched a bit about Clay Matthews and am not that impressed.

They seem to always have to have a packer to rave about.

  • Vikes running all over them.

Play action will be HUGE for Webb and co. later in this game. This will NOT be an easy out for the packers.

This. Why pass now when the run is so effective?

    Ok....that's why they're not passing....yikes.

  • Who are we really rooting for in this game? I mean, I'd rather face Atlanta in their dome than SF in Candlestick...But I'd love the chance at a home game for the NFC Championship. Anyone else? I guess I'm rooting for Minnesota to eliminate the chance at having to play GB in their stadium.

Would rather play SF now and get a home game, then play the Falcons and end up playing SF in Candlestick anyways.

  • If I'm Frazier I'm getting Webb a couple of short completions off of play action at some point, although I get that the temptation to hand off every time is large.

I almost agree with this. I trust our corners to hold Rodgers under his typical 4 TD performance.

Then again, GB may not be prepared because they prepared for Ponder instead of Webb.
