Dude hasn't thrown a pass all year. Starts against the Packers, on the road, in the playoffs. Wow! They're screwed.

Well since they didn't have a really good chance against Green Bay, this might turn out to be a good thing. Though he hasn't thrown a pass all season in a game.

I like Webb. I want him to be the backup here. So there, Sailor!

Hey, didn't say he didn't have the possibility to be good, just that he was starting his very first game this year - in the playoffs at Green Bay. That's a recipe for disaster, no matter who you are.

Could be interesting. he and Peterson running the read option coudl be deadly if they've practiced it at all. Could give the Packers some things they havnt seen all season long. Thats the optimistic viewpoint.

Good news for the Vikings, and for us. Ponder's arm wasn't going to win this game anyway. At least Webb provides something that the defense has to account for.

Considering the Vikings game plan was: Give it to Peterson, this just means they have a faster guy to do so.

Hmmm, So joe web is actually well respected/liked by the team. Ponders "elbow" is "injured" and in comes the "read option" qb. I've heard this story before.

Ponder's garbage. I give Minne a higher chance of winning, now. Seriously.

Seems like it's good news. But how well does this guy know the offense?

Webb I thought should have been the Starter, guy has a magic about him seemed to throw the ball well also. That and they can't possible be ready for him in Green Bay.

He did very well for the Vikings in Favre's absence 2 years ago.

Agreed. Webb has more of that "it" factor. He also has a much stronger arm than Ponder. He's not exceptionally accurate, but neither is Ponder beyond 10 yards.

Well this makes the game much more interesting. Checked a couple of Pack forums, they are complaining about the injury reports during the week. It would be cool if there was a link to all of the playoff teams main sites...

Ponder was on the field throwing before the game. I don't think the Vikings planned this.
