Man, I love this guy. HA! He'll back it up, as much as can be done on a football field. Quote: Yup, Sherman just sorta compared himself to Jesus. That's the type of confidence you want out of your shutdown cornerback heading in the playoffs. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000 ... n-redskins

I'm cool with it...as long as doesn't start singing "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da."

I really don't see that as a comparison. I see Sherman saying folks don't believe something is the way it is, using Jesus as an example.

Swagger baby, yeah! Exactly! Thank you! The point of this is how big . . . Dick's . . . balls are.

Sherman saying what I'm saying
The Redskins simply lack a big time mismatch player on offense.

He is obviously trying to goad Griffin into throwing the ball his way because he knows that favors the Hawks. No WR on the Skins has a chance getting open consistently on Sherman. If you can back it up....why not? If Browner started talking like this I might have an issue with it.

Quote: "Everybody has haters," Sherman said. "People think Jesus didn't exist. They think he wasn't a miracle worker. There are people who say he didn't walk on water, or he only walked on water because he couldn't swim. Those people's opinions mean dirt to me." Hate to break it to Sherman, but those people are right. Jesus didn't exist, and he didn't walk on water, and he most definitely wasn't a miracle worker.

Doesn't your team have a player with a related nickname?

He is literally comparing his own doubters to those of Jesus. I didn't get that from his quote. I got that he's basically saying there are doubters everywhere who doubt everything. Not really a comparison of his doubters vs the doubters of Jesus.

On topic: If people are surprised by how brash Sherman is about his apparent Christian faith, well, I can't help you.

What rubbish, and what a total stretch, I don't see how it is at all reasonable to say Sherman is comparing himself to Jesus, in fact it appears the opposite.

Doesn't your team have a player with a related nickname? Dear goodness I hope not. I've seen a few village idiots refer to RGIII as "Black Jesus", but that's a few fans. Nobody on the team, nor RGIII thinks of himself as a holy deity. Yes, I'm aware RGIII is religious. He's wrong as well.

This thread is merely about Sherman comparing himself to Jesus. If you want to debate whether Jesus was real or not, there's a religion forum.
