Last I saw Thurmond was just out of the Rams game with hamstring issues, and NOT placed on IR by the team.
He put out a confusing tweet that said he'd be back next YEAR, i.e., 2012 is almost over and the next game he plays will be in 2013.
If someone has better info, please share. I recall seeing an article where Pete mentioned his injury, and it simply sounded like Thurmond needed a couple weeks more to heal.

Lane and Tru are both 3's at best at this point, luckily that's all we need them to be. We'll be fine.

Trufant's speed is fine his reactions are a bit slower than they used to be. There were a couple plays today where he saw the break but his body just wouldn't get him there quick enough.

I say let them compete this week, they both do some things really well.

My biggest fears for this matchup are how well we can contain Santana Moss in the slot, and on offense how well RW can handle the disguises & presnap shifts that Haslett will throw at him.

While Santana's receptions are down, his avg. & TDs are up and he is still very dangerous.
