Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread (Rams @ Angry Birds)

The Essential Online Seahawks Fan Forum Community. There simply is NO substitute. RATING: PG-13
  • The 2012 Seattle Seahawks have a new nickname according to my 7-year-old daughter, a nickname she chose based on the game she loves to play on Daddy's cellphone.

    Angry Birds.

    I. Flipping. Love. It.

There has never been a Seahawks squad as collectively intense, fighting with a chip on their shoulders like this 2012 team does. They don't want to just knock you down. They want to knock you into another area code. There is an inescapable force that is undeniable. The momentum that is building is already historic and looks like it has no reason nor desire to discontinue.

I have respect for the Rams. They are 4-0-1 in the NFC West this year. They have a new coach they believe in, a promising tough defense and talent on offense. They've proven they can beat their divisional rivals. But if I am supposed to buy into this tiny outburst of fear I've been hearing this week, that somehow the Rams might knock us off (for various reasons) this Sunday, well forgive me but I call bullshit.

Mr. Wilson and company have other plans. 8-0 at home bitches. Enjoy your stay at the woodshed, Rams.

  • 30-17.

Down 24-7 at the half, the Rams score 10 second half points against our second team.

  • 48-17 sounds good to me. Though not as optimistic as you, I'll go out on a limb and predict 47-17 Seahawks.

  • 50-3 Hawks. Normally that sounds ridiculous, but lately...not so much. Rams are packed and ready to call it a year.

  • The way the Seahawks are scoring, it is almost impossible for them NOT to drop 30. They had a block for 6 last week and other than that, all their scores have come from drives. I expect STL to try and slow it down, but dang... Russell just won't be denied. The guy is in a total zone. He is seeing things that we can't even imagine. The Rams are upcoming, but not here, not against this team and certainly not against the lore of Tanzania.

    38-17 Hawks.

But that would blow my theory that the Hawks will only score 34 points this week based on the trend since the 58 to nothing romp.

    58 - 8 = 50 -8 = 42 - 8 = 34

  • Guys I have watched the Niners game a few times and I realized something, we were very close to winning this game by 50+ to 6, dont believe me? Jeremy lane had a pick 6 that he should have caught, Sherm had the dropped INT that would have given us another opportunity to score, the fumble that somehow miraculously SF recovered. That could have been another 13-21 points right there.

I'm sorry, this is not a fluke, this team is what it is.....a crazy flock of Angry Birds!!

  • I with Scott on this one. Going to be closer than most think. Fisher is a hell of a coach and I can guarantee he wants to go out of the season on a high note. If your out of the playoffs there is no better motivator than to knockoff a team heading into the playoffs. Fisher already has his eyes on next year and he needs to set his players' mindset. The Hawks need to be ready for anything.

It would not surprise me to find a kitchen sink somewhere on the field next Sunday.

  • 40-9, Angry Birds. Remember, our defense held them to no TDs. I wanted to go with a shutout, but frankly, there is no way we're avoiding Legatron kicking a couple of ridiculous field goals.

Our scoring breaks down to 5 TDs, a field goal, and a safety.

  • I think the Rams are going to be our best opponent of the last month, because I think they are the best coached. I think our O will continue to play well and our D will be stout, but I don't think the turnover train will keep rolling like it has.

This is a game the Hawks 100% must win, there's no reason not to.

  • I suppose that, in light of recent success, the confidence of Hawks fans is understandable. That said, some of these picks are downright silly.

Even more silly is the notion that the Rams have "packed it in" and won't fight to win this one.

If anyone here wants to give me the Rams and 20 points, I'm game.

My (admittedly homer but hey, it could happen) pick:
