I no longer live there, moved to texas, but all my friends and acquaintances will remember me today. they may not remember me fondly, but they will remember me. well done sir! :th2thumbs: :49ersmall:

I wish I could take credit for creating those. But I found them here: http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niner ... read-week/

There are many more gems. Too many. So many I had to stop... :179417:

In fact, there's like 400+ pages of stuff in that thread. It started like a week before the game, where all of the Whiners' fans are talking about how bad they're going to beat us down...that thread should be cited as a case study in bi-polar fandom. Maybe we aren't as kneejerk as we all think. :thirishdrinkers:

They're just jealous because they used to the go-to city for lesbians and atheists.

At least they'll always have their creepy old nude guys walking around Union Square...

  • What an epic win last night. This thread is amazing!

I have a buddy who is a 9er fan and he gave me his prediction of the game and I quote "49ers will jump out to a big lead and RW won't lead you back"

    Good call!

  • the benny hill runs are scary as hell to watch when it's live but when you know russell comes out of them unscathed and usually the defense gasping for air, they are so fun to watch after. i wonder if he's laughing like a 5 year old everytime he makes someone miss. roadrunner indeed.

  • Wow I just looked at their equivalent of "Random Thoughts" and they are calling for someone to take out Carroll and Sherman... Funny stuff, but incredibly classless. I'm almost shocked at some of those comments.

They also think Harbawww is the one who moved Sherm to CB, when Sherm did it after Harbawww moved him to the bottom of the depth chart at WR for getting surgery....

We have, but it has always been just a person here or there. Nothing remotely like the 49ers fans. I also read that entire ~345 page thread, and remember almost all of those quotes from there. It's legit.

And to think there was a side of me that felt bad for their fall from grace after being good for so long.

...back to my point, even among Eagles fans with their firsts in the judicial system at NFL stadiums they've never been so low to consistently say the heinous things 9ers fans do as far as injury and death. There are always some from every team, but I can't stress enough how terrible 9ers fans have become.

I was reading through a couple of their sites last night. Even after this whuppin they are claiming that the refs were bad (missed holding calls) and that the New England pace really affected them as far as being tired and such.

Funny how they forget that when we played them the first time we were just coming off the Patriots game. Also, we had to play on a Thursday night which didn't give us as much time to recuperate.

I'm beginning to really dislike 49er fans...

  • In Fran Tarkenton's day there were no message boards but fans and opoposing team members talked about him in the media all the time.

And the comments I read here about him are just about the same as the ones about him. They made me laugh then and I wasn't a Vikings fan. You just couldn't help but marvel at the little guy making the opposing defenses look like Larry, Curly, & Moe.

Al Michaels noted a couple of times that the defensive linemen were getting gassed just trying to catch up with Wilson and showed pictures of them with their tongues virtually hanging out.

He will get caught now and then but his linemen have realized they need to keep blocking and make ways for him to escape. Lets hope we get this entertainment for years to come.

  • at the beginning of the year there was a game where RW was running around back there and a flag for holding was thrown. The commentators blamed RW with the comment "what is a guy supposed to do when he hangs on to the ball that long". Now RW is great moving around :)

I want to give some credit to his teammates as well. Keep making the LEGAL blocks. If RW goes down so be it but more times than not as long as you keep making the legal blocks he will keep avoiding the tackles / sacks and do one of three things

    1) Run for yardage
    2) pass to an open WR
    3) Have no qualms / problems with just simply throwing it away

Do your job and let the qb figure out the rest. It ticked me off when the commentators blamed the hold on RW......

Perceived equivalent. We all know 49ers fans are both classless (see how many literally want dead Seahawks players) and clueless. (See: their forums.)

  • Well, you can't tell how classy or classless a fan base is after a blowout win. It's very easy to be gracious in those circumstances. That being said, it's rare to see anyone here wish death upon an opposing player or team even after a heartbreaking loss; and for that, I am proud. Unfortunately, I fear that once we've won the Super Bowl, we'll start seeing a lot of less classy posters. Mods will be busy, and Rock will have to promote quite a few more over time to be mods, methinks.
