With all the deserved chatter about Wilson last night, let's not forget Beast mode. (Thanks to MontanaHawk for the thread idea.)

He set the charter for the evening with his 24 yard TD run and then followed it up with a receiving TD. He then busted out a 111 yard performance against the 49ers vaunted rush defense.

So Marshawn, here's to you. This team needs you.

I know this is the Lynch appreciation thread, but I'm gonna add in Sherm as well.

He has 7 picks on the season, and is a shutdown CB. Adderall or not, he is a great player that you just know is gonna perform great. Our team needs him too.

I love Marshawn Lynch in ways that I don't entirely understand.

Love Marshawn. I'm borderline obsessed with him like I just be thinking about him! I know that's weird but it's true. Like when I walk to the bus stop I pretend I'm him and try to walk like I think he would walk. I just wanna be more like Marshawn.

Here's to you Lynch. Without you I am not sure how great this team would be.

Thank you for the free IHOP short stack or coffee, whichever promotion is the one for surpassing 100 yards.

I wish he would wear my jersey in a game and not wash it after.

Said it after the very first game he played as a Seahawk. Best RB we have ever had.

I appreciate the man. He's rapidly closing in on #3 on my Hawk best RB list (about to over-take SA but still behind John L and CW). A good barometer of who he is in this league. It's frequent that you see an opposing player helping him to his feet. All players love this guy. He is the epitome of old school NFL football.

Amen! I lurk and don't post often, but ever since he's joined the Hawks, there's an undeniable element of ferocity that has come with him. The fact that opposing defenses have to account for him when he's on the field makes everything else that much more possible and successful.

Marshawn - Thank you for everything you bring to this team and each and every game! You may not seek the limelight, but the fans know and respect how important you are to the Hawks.

Marshawn is such an easy player for us fans to latch on to.

Tough, hard nosed, physical, nasty, determined, and of course talented.

We are very lucky he is a Seahawk.

Have u also noticed the last couple weeks once he is in the endzone untouched he stops or dodges the last defender to remain untouched even though it doesn't matter any more...HA

I have concerns for you. I am not very religious, But you have forced me to pray for you. I wonder how Marshawn prays?

Marshawn was beasting with Big Red after the block on the sideline. He has infected the whole team with Beast. Pretty soon nobody will talk to Mike Rob.

My favorite part of BeastMode isn't his long runs.

It is those 5 yarders on first down when everyone know he is getting the ball. Gets hit after a yard and a half, carries two, three guys for another 3 yards, and has 8 defenders on him and still won't go down, pushes for another yard and the refs mercifully blow the whistle.

And lets not forget:

Marshawn got PAID in the offseason. And what does he do after signing the fat contract? Ease up a little bit?

No, instead he just goes out and has his best season ever as a pro and puts the team on his back until the QB comes into his own. That is pure professionalism and it is so easy to root for him

My favorite Beast Mode moments are the short runs where he pushes the pile, or breaks through what looks like a done deal. Like the Giants game with CBJ playing QB and Marshawn pushed that pile of Giants 6 yards! That was amazing! And the Philadelphia game where he came out of the pile and scored a TD. :D

And then there are the ones where it looks like he is stopped, and he lunges forward for another yard or three. Love the man, love the way he runs and you can see the power in those legs in the way he walks. Amazing. :0190l:

I appreciated ML earlier in this thread. But after watching a recording of the 04 "we want the ball and we are going to score" game last nite, I appreciate him even more today. No knock on SA, but he sure didn't run like ML.

Wasn't that great? At the time I was screaming "go to the right". When he didn't I assumed there was some defender over there. But after the game the press picked up on his "statement" about how he intentionally ran right through the defense like a freakin' bowling ball! Priceless.

Can I just say...I LOVE that we sign Marshawn to a huge deal and then he has a career year.

I love that we finally have players who don't disappear of the face of the earth after signing big deals. Clemons and Unger too. But Marshawn is at the forefront since he is the face of the team (at least he was until Wilson started sharing it with him).

Marshawn rocks.

He is such a huge part of this team, and what we are trying to do. Nobody, other than maybe AP, runs as hard at Lynch. This guy has it all, and helps us keep that clock running. Pound the rock until they can't take it anymore in the 4th Quarter.
