In an attempt to lighten up the forum...

We are staring down the end of the world as we know it :sarcasm_off:

Does anyone think we will see any type of exodus out of the cities by groups of crazies? Will anything happen at all this week big enough to even ping on the MSM 24 hour news cycle radar?

My friends and I had an End-of-the-World party in early 1982, when all the planets were supposed to line up. The only thing that happened was a pretty bad hangover.

I predict similar results this time as well. (But no hangovers for me, I'm getting too old for them.)

There are some folks out there who believe that kind of nonsense. While I don't think we'll see any mass exodus or anything, I think we'll see a sudden uptick in people doing things and damning the consequences. We may be seeing this already in light of the several recent violent incidents. If people think there's no day after tomorrow, they'll do some otherwise quite crazy things.

Judging from the weather here, I think the world's decided to end a few days early. I can't see a thing out there.

It's even more hilarious when you actually look into the Mayan calender and see that they didn't predict the end of the world at all... its just the end of an age (astrologically) and it also has most likely already happened... The Mayan calender was way different than ours. They didn't have crazy things like leap years and stuff like that. Its not like people looked at it and the calender read "December 21 2012."

Just retarded fear mongerers using a very advanced calender in a way that helps them.

It better not end, my birthday is the next day and it would be a real pisser for it to end before that. ;)

I love how many of the people referring to how ridiculous this is believe in the Madden Curse.

With any luck we will see an uptick in shitbirds culling themselves from the gene pool. Other than that, carry on... :th2thumbs:

I am so disappointed... No reporting of craziness centered around the date.

Well, by now, Friday has ended throughout the world (International Date Line), so I guess we forge ahead in a Mayan-calendar-less future.

It's cool, breezy, and overcast here.

Happy Post-End-of-the-World-Day, everyone!

I had surgery that day and said I would be plenty pissed if I had surgery and then the world ended. lol

But with this deal all the screaming an hollaring about it and the next day not a word and nothing since. wtf?

Funny the idiots that screamed all our electronic stuff would stop at end of century,(even tho they were a year late), were the same ones that were screaming about this deal. But like that time they ran and hid when it came time to answer questions about what happened to their deal?
