Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread (Seahawks @ Bills)

The Essential Online Seahawks Fan Forum Community. There simply is NO substitute. RATING: PG-13
  • I should have been in Vegas the past few weeks.

I don't know if it's something I ate or what has gone on lately but for some fluky reason, I've been keying in on the fate of the Seahawks with accidental accuracy.

I look to this weekend to be no different. The Seahawks face a bewildering Bills team. Loaded with potential and some players very capable of handing the Hawks a very bad day. Yet, the game will be played on neutral ground, with an apathetic crowd in attendance, and a 1pm Pacific Northwest kickoff time to boot. None of this matters normally. But lately, there's nothing normal about this football team that's trending so high right now that you are hard pressed to find an NFL national media show that isn't finding time to squeeze in a little talk about the Seahawks in a warm and fuzzy light.

Unless you're Michael Irvin of course. But the windbag's disdain for the Seahawks should be insurance, not a hindrence, in our continued collective belief that the 2012 Seattle Seahawks are creating something very, very special right before our eyes.

Normally, this game is a loss for the Seahawks. Normally this pick is as decisive as it is with regret.

However, there is nothing normal currently going on with Mr. Wilson and the 2012 Seattle Super Seahawks.

With bravado, I proudly say, the Seahawks winning streak continues.

Wouldn't be surprised if Seattle added 7 to that and the Bills scored 7 less (34-10). The fear is there, though, that we relapse on the road so far away and it could be a close game.

  • We've struggled against fast RBs this season. Gore, Bush, Thomas and AP. Bills run similar plays for Spiller that the 49ers run for Gore. I see this game closer than people expect and see Spiller going off.

Seahawks 24, Bills 23. DangeRuss leading yet another last minute comeback.

The Bills have a buffalo on the helmet.

Native Americans have a proud tradition of feasting on Bison.

We are clicking well in most phases of the game and I see us winning this one.

  • This game has me very nervous. Especially considering that Miami debacle was only 3 weeks ago. Has this team changed that much in just 2 games since then? I hope so, but it would not surprise me at all to see a big letdown performance by this team. I also think that there are guys on the Bills who can straight up hurt us, like Spiller. And then there are the injuries to worry about too. If Rice and Glass Thurmond both do not play, we will be VERY thin at WR and in the secondary.

All that being said, I want to believe. This team SHOULD be able to win, and I will trust them to take care of business this week in a game I think will be very tough.

I think from this point on they are going to kick some serious @$$ out there. It wouldn't surprise me to see another shut-out. Not record breaking though.

  • As a result of my dream last night, I have some insight on this game that I hope is real.

The Hawks will get 5 sacks in the first half due to Spillers inability to pass protect, he will then sit most of the second half 'cause he's a big liability in pass pro. I see 3 TD passes from RW and 120+ yards and 2 TD's for Beastmode. RW, Tate & Baldwin will shine in this game along with "Bruce" and "Clem". The Hawks also end up with 4 picks (Sherman, Lane, ET & Wagner). The Buff's will also fumble the ball 3 times and only recover 1. The Hawks end up +6 in turnovers.
And the final score will be 38-13 = SEAHAWKS RULE.
It sure is nice to have such detailed dreams, hopefully this dream is more right than wrong. I have my fingers crossed.

  • I think Pete tries to protect our secondary with all the missing players and does two things, zone zone zone and then blitz. This will create a lot of yardage for Fitz in the passing game, it will also make the game closer since they will have the ball quite a bit.

  • Kind of scary thinking about the Bills rushing game considering some of the troubles we've had with that. And also, another big weakness of our defense is against TE's and they have the 13th ranked TE in Scott Chandler with 6 td's and nearly 500 yards. I am not so sure this will be any kind of cakewalk considering that and the travel/road elements to overcome. Hopefully this is not one of those cases where they just match up well against us despite not being a very good team. But overall I think we are the superior team and are smelling the blood in the water (playoffs).

  • As I wrote about in the Preview Piece, I don't necessarily see this one being a cakewalk by any means (especially now that Thurmond's out) ... but just don't see the Bills as having the horses to truly run away with this in the end. I'm calling it ...

  • Spiller is averaging 6.6 YPC. He's only started 6 games and already has almost 1,000 yards. If their coach wakes up and starts feeding him the ball, we are in for a tough game. If we score early, though, and force them to throw it, we should be okay. I say this thing stays close for longer than we want it to. A 4th quarter TD puts it away. In the end:

    Bills - 20
