Apparently, Sherman has hired his own lawyer who is working side by side with the NFLPA to fight the suspension. I think they're trying to push this back into next season.

I'd rather lose him for the first 4 games next season and the team be prepared for it, so I like hearing about this.

I bet thats the point to this, the team needs their starting tandem and having both starters gone for the same games could have a huge impact

The Williams boys in Minnesota kept their appeals going for about 2 years. Who knows, maybe Sherm can do the same.

Exactly my thoughts since I first heard he was gonna fight it.

IDK if Shermans salary will hold up for 2 years of paying a spendy lawyer. Not on his salary.

He just needs to hold out until February.

Could be on the NFLPA's dime.

Same here, I know the chances of him actually beating it would be almost impossible so I was hoping his angle was to postpone it into next year.

More power to him. I know this -- I like our chances a lot better in the 49ers game WITH him than WITHOUT him. What happens with his appeals process could have huge implications.

Ditto. I was on the exact same wavelength there as well.

This would suck if it pushes back into the playoffs, though.

Is there an actual chance his suspension could be overturned?

Did either of the Williams brothers ever miss a game due to PED's?
