Galen96 wrote:Definitely. I just need out of this area... It's eating away at me. Some nice weather for a change would do me some good.

As stupid as it sounds it is a dry heat

TriCHawk wrote:I was in PHX a couple years ago for my job. I liked it a lot, and I have some family there too. I wouldn't mind living there at all. Are you sure as a west sider you'll be able to handle the heat?
Galen96 wrote:Dude, Ian, it's different here... I enjoy being in the sun here... weird huh? The heat here in the summer is VERY dry for the most part... that kind of heat when you open up the oven and it blasts you in the face... I like it ;P I was there last weekend Tattooed! I met a whole group of people who just moved here all at the same time... we sat to the right of the bar at some tables in front of a TV. I was wearing a Sherman jersey... if you're there this sunday, come say hi! I highly doubt you'll run into rattlers in this urban sprawl Zeb! come check it out...

I like Phoenix, though.

A daughter of a friend of my mom's when we lived there nearly died from a scorpion bite from a scorpion hiding in a shoe, and they had lived there forever. Not something to take lightly, haha.

The area is awesome to visit, though I have no frame of reference as far as living in Phoenix proper. I lived in New Mexico near the Arizona border as a kid and at the time I simply loved playing in the desert. You could just take off walking in damn near any direction you please and see awesome stuff. Did a lot of Jackrabbit hunting out there. But I personally like to be able to see the mountains covered in Snow. I just had a meeting in Portland last week and driving back I could see Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens, and Mt. Adams all clear as day. That practically never happens for me.
DHawk wrote:Yeah, its quite the sprawl. I'm now up in the northern part of Phoenix and dammit if I don't feel like everything is out of the way now.
