Interestingly, the fan vote after the Hawks had selected Irvin, Wagner and Wilson in the first three rounds graded our draft as a "C". lol.
That's about right for the average fan at the time. Flynn-sanity was in full force and many were perplexed that we didn't take Coples, Ingram, Upshaw etc.
Many were upset we didn't take Polk instead of Wilson.

Awesome, JS wanted him bad. Must have been torture for him to wait until 75.

Did anyone else notice that he is wearing blue and green wrist bands? The kid knew he was going to the Hawks!

Amazing how Gruden nailed Wilson's traits and just knew how they would translate over. Every time I listen to his description I'm like "Yeah...he does that...Yup, does that too" and pretty much check the blocks all the way across the board.

I remember someone here on .net calling for the Hawks to draft Wilson way before the draft. Wish I could remember who that was but I don't. Anyway, good call sir.

Someone flood his inbox with this video.
He basically said our 1st round DE that has 7 sacks is crap, our starting MLB who is a possible DROY was crap, and that our starting QB who is turning heads with amazing play was a waste who should be on the bench.

Our top 3 picks were MONEY!
Bruce still needs some work, but we knew that. Wagner is awesome, and what can be said about Russ that hasn't aready been said? I'm sure when they their little "2012 Draft Redo" all three will be first rounders.

I'm amazed at how Gruden absolutely knew that RW had the physical skills and mental makeup to do well in the NFL,....
