I used to get giddy over the thought of him being our quarterback when Kearly was first talking about him as a draft prospect. I thought he perfectly epitomized our rather unconventional collaboration of players.

Sometimes I like to pretend I'm Russell Wilson when I wear his Jersey. I think about Russell Wilson around once every six seconds.

On the way to the gym, was listening to Cowherd this AM. He had Dilfer on and they were both gushing over him. Dilfer said he could be a star in the making and is one of the coolest people you'll ever meet with a work ethic that's off the charts. Cowherd too was in awe of him, brought up his size and how he thought that'd be a deterrent but it clearly hasn't

Best thing for Russell is to ignore the praise, just like he has ignored the criticism.

I'm so shamelessly excited I did something I swore to all of you I would never do.

I bought his jersey.

When faced with a tough situation in life, I first think "What Would Russell Do" before making a decision on what to do. He'd have a great advice column, that's for sure.

Seriously though, I love rooting for him. One of my favorite athletes of all-time, already.

Dear Russell,

I have grown up cheering for the Seahawks, Sonics, Mariners, and Huskies since before I knew how to talk. I never thought I'd love somebody as much as I loved Ken Griffey Jr, and Napolean Kaufman.

I love you more, and I've only known you for 12 regular season games.

Long live RUSSELLMANIA!!!!

I have been thinking the exact same thing. But I am quite seriously afraid my jersey curse is a real thing. Dammit!
