I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring in some DB depth to get them some practice time in case this Browner/Sherman thing goes down the way it's most likely to.

Curtis Crabtree: The Seahawks announced the release of Portis and have added WR Phil Bates to the practice squad.

No use for him really. We will cut Flynn and bring in a cheap Vet w/ experience next season.

No need for a project QB right now. Wilson is our QB for the foreseeable future. This gives Portis a chance to find a place to play.

Yeah, we should be happy for him he'll get a chance to make a name for himself elsewhere. Russell Wilson looks like the future. But if Josh gets picked up by the Cardinals I'll be so pissed.

Add to that Tate's a lefty too.

I hope he still wears a Seahawks hat when he gets to the HOF.

Agree. I'm sure the CFL could use him.

I'd be thrilled if the Cardinals started Josh Portis.

Portis did less in the preseason than Jeff Kelly and David Greene. No idea why people love the guy.. but whatever.

My guess is if he's not with the Seahawks next training camp he's not in any training camp at all. I dont expect anybody to pick him up. And I dont expect him to make our team next year.

I'm sure he'll wind up on someones PS, maybe even ours, or as a 3rd stringer somewhere. Hell Gibran Hamdan stuck around for years and he's another guy who wasn't very good at all and beloved on this board for whatever reason.

Wasn't he released earlier this season only to be brought back a week or two later? It's a bit hasty to goodbye to anyone until they actually sign to another squad.
