  • The amazing fantastic hard hitting shutdown Legion of Boom just gave up 253 yards passing to the Miami Dolphins who cant even sell out a game. I'll let that sink in.

  • How can people not understand that its the linebackers (who are not part of the Legion of Boom) who are the biggest problem we have in coverage?

  • This game was far more on the defensive line and linebackers than the secondary. Although, I don't think Kam has played very well this year overall.

  • I find it interesting that people spend the whole off season talking up Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright and Leroy's experience and then blame the linebacking core as a whole for screwing up CONSISTENTLY. Is anyone willing to hold those "talented but raw" young players responsible? Could it be guys like KJ aren't as good as we thought? Who exactly are we blaming here?

  • There were guys wide open deep down the field twice that I saw. If those were supposed to be LBers covering then we have some messed up defensive schemes. Anything is possible.

Agree that secondary is least of our problems though. Still, you give up that many yards to the Dolphins and I don't think any part of your defense can have a nickname without looking silly.

  • I mean, once again, it was the #3 WR and TE/RBs making plays in the passing game. I don't think Browner got thrown at once and Sherm maybe gave up 2x 7 yard passes. Please try to understand football before making comments like this.

I saw that the seats weren't even half filled in Miami.

  • I don't see how it matters that they can't sell out a game.

The Dolphins picked on leroy hill and marcus Trufant a lot. This Dolphins offense also threw the ball all over the Cardinals, remember that. They are well coached and have some pieces. But this was a really disappointing effort, can't stand the blown coverages.

I won't. Mainly because of how and when those 253 were allowed. Our D just looked shitty today, especially in the 4th quarter.

Awesome. I knew there was someone out there who would put their money on the "but Miami is good guys, I swear" line.

  • Chancellor had one blown coverage that led to a TD. He was out of position a lot lately, and a step or two slow to fill his lanes.

Wagner had a great coverage day, but a poor run stopping day. He was consistently getting caught up in the wash, and filling the wrong gap, although, it could be a DL issue.....say Wagner fills a gap, and the RB picks another gap that is open. Shouldn't be that many open gaps with our defense.

Wright is too slow to match up with a LB one on one, and I'm saying Hill probably is too by now. Hill is decent in underneath coverage, but usually lags behind TE's and backs down the field. The TD pass to the RB was Hill's fault, and he diagnosed the play too late to be a part of it.

We need better consistent pass rush, but Trufant and the LBers got abused in underneath coverage lately. It's been a problem all year long, I'm not sure how that is going to get better with the personnel we have now.

Browner completely erased whoever he lined up against today, which he has been doing a lot of this year. I'm sure since they didn't call his name out, the casual fan is now going to call him out on these boards as (once again) the weakest link in this secondary (it's actually Kam Chancellor). QBs just don't throw at him a lot, and they're steering away from Sherman too, which leaves the LBers and the nickle guy they are targetting, with continued success.

  • Maybe Kam would be a better LB and its time to say bye to Hill anyway. It's worth a shot, the man can lay the wood like know other. I'd like to say bye to Tru and hi to Thurmond but it just hasn't happened yet. Im just not feeling the Trufant Family as football players anymore at any level. Lets just say it been a tough week.

  • This nickname was doomed once it was suggested by Bob and Groz. As far as the unit, they seem to have the outside and deep ball under control (as long as they don't have an LB with bad wheels covering a FB/TE who is pulling away).

There have been some recognized phrases coming from this team, though now they are being used against them. "U Mad Bro!".

If you are going to talk the talk, make sure you walk the walk.
