how can we be close to top 10 at home, barely top 20 on the road... but rank 4th overall?
we're giving up 17ppg on the road... you know that'c still be good for 4th in the league? By some distance in fact, the Cardinals are 5th giving up 19.2 ppg
We're also the only team in the top 10 to have played 10 games so far and yet are STILL 4th in TOTAL points given up.
The difference is our point scoring average at home and away - we're scoring on average 24.6 points at home and conceding 12.4, which is essentially outscoring our opponents 2-1.
On the road we're averaging a 15-17 score.
Start scoring an extra TD consistently on the road and we're looking at around 22-17, do that and you'll see us win significantly more road games (in fact, if we'd scored an extra TD in every road game this season we'd be 9-1 (though we only lost the 49ers game by 7 points, I'd imagine they'd have accepted the safety penalty).
