So, I've spent the majority of this past week interacting with Patriots fans over on Patsfans.com ... both pumping them for info on their team ... and giving those guys insights on the type of team they'll be facing this week. I was pretty much done with posting over there until I ran across this ...

Naturally, I couldn't let that go unchallenged, so here was my response to all of that ...

I can't get past how you refer to Carpenter as replacing Moffitt as the LG. Moffitt is a RG, McQuistian will be playing in that position, Carpeter is now a LG and is back in his normal starting spot that McQuistian was filling while Moffit was healthy and Carpenter was still rehabbing.

I realize that Moffit is listed as the starting RG on this team ... and yes, know very well that Carpenter has been rehabbing (though I believe he's been available for the past week or so IIRC). What I wrote was ...
James Carpenter (who will be replacing John Moffit in this game at LG)
what I was trying to say was that Carpenter will be replacing Moffit in this game and playing LG. To my understanding, that's where they'll have Carpenter play today. McQuistan is after all far more versatile and able to play both guard positions and could even fill in at either tackle position in a pinch if need be.

I think you were reading something in to it there that I hadn't meant to say.

Anyway, I don't know how many of you read this guy's original article or not ...

... but it came across to me very as quite glib and dismissal of Seattle -- to me, it came across as someone who really didn't know all that much about the opponent that his team would be facing. He painted it as an easy victory for the Patriots -- which I why I chose to respond ... and to his credit, he graciously responded back ...

Carpenter is a full-time LG now, regardless of who's hurt. He's not "replacing" Moffit. Regardless, that was a good write up though. Nice job.

The Tex-ASS
Unger is needed today in a big way. He has to undermine Wilfork. Hopefully that fat ass won't fall on anyone.

-- Reading that "blog" was painful. The blither of the five points themselves was so rudimentary, (stop the other team's best offensive player??? Wow, good call ). My twelve year old daughter could write a more thoughtful piece.

Most "keys to the game" articles come across as pretty "duh". Just play good football, guys.
