Did Cam fumble at the end of the first half?

I am convinced that no one touched Cam when he went down, popped up, and flipped the ball. That should have been live, no?

Uh, I do. It might have been a pretty big coaching mistake not to challenge it.

Well I'm guessing that:

1. No Seahawks picked it up

2. That a ref blew the play dead

Making it useless to challenge if either one of these points are true.

Was wondering the same thing but couldn't tell. Didn't feel it was close enough to use a challenge on.

I didn't understand that either. Newton tripped, but I guess the refs decided he gave himself up on the play. Who knows. I would've challenged it.

A player can give himself up willingly if he makes no sign of trying to advance the ball. The league has been through this before

Sherman picked up the ball, but per Bagdhad Mike on twitter, new point of emphasis, because Cam didn't try to advance once he went to the ground he was ruled down.

Yes a Seahawk did pick it up. It would have saved 3 points. Blown dead doesn't matter if a hawk got it before the whistle.

Maybe before you reply you could check your facts? Or you could just guess some more.

Thanks for the explanations, to those who took the time to do that. Question answered.

I didn't really feel the need too because I was basking in the glorious feeling of a win. Man, if I had just listened to you, then I could have wasted my time going back to see if a Seahawk picked up the ball or if it was blown dead beforehand, and still have come back in time to see that someone posted that he gave himself up by not trying to advance himself. Damn, I sure missed some opportunities.
