Hawkaholic wrote:marymoorhawk wrote:I thought they said the "alternate" would be a throwback? Is the NFL now going to a 4th jersey "alternate"? I kinda doubt it - this is the league that told us we couldn't have 2 helmet colors back when we changed the last time.
Regular set/throwback = no blackout unless the NFL changes course.
I don't think so. The throwbacks are not considered alternates.... they're just our old unis. We couldn't wear them because they aren't considered throwbacks until they've been retired 10 years I think. 2012 will be 10 years

Nice! Sorry to be a pain, but any chance you could switch the pants so we can check out the 'all blue' and 'all white' version of this?

23. C.K. McKenzie is pretty good.

Dude that alternate he made is badass...
On another note Im so glad I didn't buy another Jersey this season.
HighlandHawk wrote:The new Ducks helmet is pretty cool, wonder if we'd see something similar
Alternate uniforms would be limited to two uses in the regular season (eliminating the preseason option).
• Alternate uniforms would only be used in Sunday-afternoon games (not prime-time or nationally televised games).
• Alternate uniforms would only be worn prior to the start of the “flexible scheduling” portion of the schedule, which begins in Week 10.

25. Travis Ness incorporates throwback logo and colors
Lots more to see. Some absurd and some pretty cool
Some of those are just gawd awful. Others are on the right track, but those are few and far between.

Silver is the quickest way to dilute our uniqueness. I really don't want to look more like the Cowboys/Lions/Raiders/Patriots/Panthers/whoever.

He also noted that Nike was VERY VERY secretive about it. They wouldn't let him keep the catalog or any photos of the new stuff, they made him make his two other employees LEAVE THE STORE, and wouldn't even let him pick up his cell phone because they were worried about pictures.
Anyways he says that he was really impressed, using the words "Sharp and Crisp" in his explanation and then stated that there was a color scheme change and there is now a lot of Navy Blue in the uniforms and other gear. He says there is none of that wild crap that the University of Oregon is doing with their uniforms. He would not disclose whether or not the logo will be changing either. Now granted I have no proof of this but I don't see any reason that this guy would benefit from lying to us as me and my buddies were the only three guys in the store.

Cool. I actually liked the navy pants that we wore during the Mora fiasco season. It made the navy on the sleeves not seem like such an orphan. Didn't mind it with the road whites either (though the monochrome white still looks better IMO)

I'd like the current blue, a dark green, and silver scheme. Would look great IMO.
