Since EA has been pretty successful at predicting the success of NFL teams (with some exceptions), I figured this was pretty interesting. Notice the decline of Matt Hasselbeck, his overall rating in each Madden NFL respectively: Madden 07: 93 Madden 08: 92 Madden 09: 91 Madden 10: 84 Madden 11: 79 I think this is a pretty accurate scale of his ability. He definitely reached the height of his prime during his Superbowl appearance. Since 2007 he's gone down hill, and fast. This could be his last season, unless he has a major turn around.. Do you think these look fair? One thing I noticed was David Hawthorne's rating. Last year he was a 60 overall, this year he's 80. This shows me that EA has done a decent job in adjusting player attributes.

As far as Hawthorne goes, he was rated at 80 in Madden 10 at the last middle-of-the-season ratings update.

Pitts was either an 80/81 last year so he's probably between 79-81 this year.

The only one I'd pick fault with is Anthony McCoy. If Kam Chancellor is a 67... McCoy deserves to be at that range rather than a 64. Nothing wrong with his talent... it's border line first round quality. It's the attitude and appliance that dropped him like a stone. Last time I checked Madden doesn't have a character rating, so I think he could be in the 67/68 range. Even then it's minor and overall they did a good job. Seattle hasn't got any X Factors on either side of the ball, that is emphasised here. Until we get guys other teams fear... we don't make a post season. Our pass rush and general offense isn't good enough.

Houshmandzadeh - 87 wonder what his speed is
J. Carlson - 84 low but after last years debacle it makes sense
J. Forsett - 76 should be better. his speed better be up from 88 which it was last year
W. Herring - 59 - After Last years performance this should be better
L. Jackson - 79
C. Cole - 76 - How is cole lower than jackson?

haha, Branch's injury rating is a 63, at least they got that right. and Tate seems pretty beast looking at some of his ratings...
