  • 9 total in my group that attended. We were posted up right in Pioneer square near the fire house and were surrounded by thousands of extended "family" members.

It was just like the '95 M's celebration, times 1 million :)

  • Just got home. Was lucky enough to sneak onto a roof about 3-4 stories high on apartment and stay up there, the view was amazing. It was on 2nd ave, across the street from the people on the other roof that were playing music with the speakers & cheering on the mic. It was so awesome, the macklemore & "We are the champs" song got everyone hyped! Everyone looked like ants and the ground was literally filled. Kam looked up at us and when we waved at him, he gave us a thumbs up back.

Traffic was terrible though. Taking the bus was a good idea to get there, but getting back was a horrible idea. Had to call up a friend and get a ride home. I honestly would rather drive there in the traffic and pay the $40-80 parking than take the bus back. Literally 4-5 hours after the parade and people are still stuck at the top of the bus tunnel.

  • This is amazing, in 1979 the crowd for the Sonics was estimated at 300,000. Which was pretty impressive at that time, remember we were like the 28th biggest market at that time, now were the 12th or 13th, there's that number again.

  • It was crazy. I was off of 2nd Avenue on my tip-toes just trying to get a peek. The coolest thing was all the kids. When the ducks went by it was like a wall of little heads as they got lifted up onto shoulders.

  • Just got back from the Parade/Rally. It was an incredible experience. We froze our asses off, waiting for 4.5 hours in our seats before the players arrived in the stadium but it was worth it. Hall of Famer Walter Jones raised the 12th Man flag and Russell came out holding the Lombardi. I have a lot of gripes about logistics and various aspects of the rally experience but I will save that for another day. I don't want anything to take away from the brilliant finish to the most amazing season in Seahawks history.

  • It was amazing! Came in from east of the Cascades with a group of nine. We tried to catch the Sounder in Tukwila and it was jam packed, so we drove and saw people were parking and walking 3 miles south of the stadium. We parked at the Costco on 4th south of Spokane street and hoofed it up to the Clink. It was just a sea of humanity up there. Everyone was having a great time and well behaved, except for a group of guys who pushed over a barrier fence to get a shortcut into the north parking lot.

It was an amazing scene and although it was damn cold, people didn't mind waiting for the parade to get there. Lots of chants of Sea-Hawks! And kids and families and fun. Then when the team arrived it was awesome! Loved Marshawn banging the drum and seeing all the guys with huge smiles on their faces! I'm so glad we went, made the 6 hour drive worth it.

  • Just got home was a amazing experience the amount of people all coming together was beautiful there were so many people there I could not text out and could only call one out of eight phone call attempts... When the parade got to the clink me and a bunch of people climbed this little booth a red coated staff member tried to get us to get down but the amount of people on the booth made a police officer tell the staff member to leave us be it wa a lot of fun and I had a grey view from there man what a good time

  • I was floored at the response I was snowed in and missed work because the Metro was messed up big time. Question....how can you be freezing when it's 30-40°? It was 8° here and will be below 0° here WITHOUT factoring in the wind chill.

It was 30 or below plus wind chill and we were outside for hours standing still with only strong drinks and yelling to warm us

  • Left at 4:00 am from Spokane with my daughter. Got home about 8:00pm. Long damn day. Stood for about 4 hours in one spot with very cold toes but it was well worth it. I got chills(not from the cold) when I saw the Lombardi trophy. It felt more real being a part of this. It's still hard for me to believe!

Now THAT is saying something! There are cities, mostly south of here, where the morgues would be full after an event like this.

Just as in the thread for those who attended the Super Bowl, I love hearing peoples stories on this. It becomes far more personal with first hand accounts.
