  • I'm very impressed with this machine . I have Killzone and Injustice . Killzone is great awesome shooter good story I recommend it . I'm going to pick up Battlefield 4 or Ghosts soon . The Xbox One is a solid machine especially now that they dropped Kinect and lowered the price 400.00 dollars but Sony's machine is marginally better and I didn't like the direction Microsoft went for at all.

  • Yes! PS4 is the TITS! Love that thing. :). Just needs the DLNA capability that the 3 had and it's perfect (still can't figure out why they left it out)

  • I would like to get the PS4, but like CAN mentioned, the lack of DLNA support has me holding off.

I like Sony for the fact that I can stream NetFlix and Amazon on the PS3 without having to be subscribed to their Gold Live type services. I may jump on a PS4 next year after they have settled in on the feature set the unit will support.

True, you very well could. But the difference is black and white, apples and oranges when it comes to streaming. But if only using a couple apps like Netflix or Amazon or whatever, consoles definitely serve the purpose well. I've used both, but the Roku is well worth it even with a separate console in my opinion. I no longer use the PS3 or Xbox 360 for any streaming whatsoever. I WILL say though, the downside is that Comcast seems to try and hamper their competition and thus prevents a couple of popular apps from working on the Roku with Comcast (like HBO Go). Hopefully this changes soon.

Back on track, I'm hoping to get a PS4 soon. Finally we are starting to see some good games being released. Maybe I will get one when Madden comes out. I'm excited for a couple new ones though.

You can stream Netfilx and Amazon on the PS4 without a PSN subscription, XBOX ONE did require a subscription then dropped it because Sony did not require it.

I figure as much. I have a couple of HD HomeRun 3-Tuner Channels switches that the PS3 recognizes due to the DTCP-IP setting that I was told isn't on the PS4. This feature along with DLNA capability would have me ready to move to the PS4.

I understand those who say use another device to do this other stuff. I just figure why not have one console that can serve multi-functions if it was in the earlier device?

I definitely am planning to make PS4 my next generation consoles, trying to break away from XBox360 extenders (4) that I have throughout the house.

I love reading about how folks are revved up about the device, and I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade as another poster seems to think. Just thought this was a topic to discuss various facets about the unit.
