aaaaaaaand the award for the dumbest movie i've seen goes to

The Lounge is for non-sport-related topics other than politics, war and religion. Order up your favorite beverage, kick back and enjoy the conversation! RATING: PG-13
  • Meh, i didn't think the newest Superman was that bad, but then again, I've watched Battlefield Earth three times. Ill add another movie to the list.

The Postman with Kevin Costner, It was so bad I couldn't look away. Nearly three hours of post-apocalyptic boredom. How is that even possible?

I have been fortunate to not have seen either movie. I was curious tho on Battlefield Earth if they followed the book or went off on their own. I do happen to remember reading the book in my past.

Oh, absolutely. What's funny is that he continues to see the Abrams trek movies even though he knows he's going to hate them. Maybe Montana just wants to be offended by them at this point.

Actually, it's a Trekkie that was offended by stupid plot developments that were just there to get us to the next action scene, incoherent and sloppily stated themes, objectification of women, and the total character assassination of James T. Kirk. Just sophomoric writing all around.

He actually wanted to do it!

L Ron Hubbard book.... Travolta is a wacky Scientologist....

Travolta, a long-time Scientologist, had sought for many years to make a film of the novel by Hubbard, the founder of Scientology. He was unable to obtain funding from any major studio due to concerns about the film's script, prospects, and connections with Scientology, leaving the film in development hell. The project was eventually taken on in 1998 by an independent production company, Franchise Pictures, which specialized in rescuing stars' stalled pet projects. Travolta signed on as a co-producer and contributed millions of dollars of his own money to the production, which was largely funded by a German film distribution company. Franchise Pictures was later sued by its investors and was bankrupted in 2004 after it emerged that it had fraudulently overstated the film's budget by $31 million.

It is easily the dumbest movie I have ever seen. As far as dumbest character, I Am Legend pisses me off to no end with how stupid that military trained doctor responded to situations in the movie.

All time worst.. The Mask of Zorro.. when he walked out of the explosion unscathed, carrying a child and 10 other cliches I walked out. The first GI Joe movie.. I could write pages on this. MiB II...

    Caddyshack II

    Weekend at bernies 2

Unwatchably Horrible and stupid. Both of them!

Oh, and I'd also throw in just about my most hated movie of all time, "Eight Crazy Nights". The animated Adam Sandler Hanukkah movie. It confirmed what I had always suspected. That Adam Sandler really does have the humor sophistication of an 11 year old boy.

  • I just watched 20 minutes of, This is the End, last night. Horrible. I know a ton of people that say that was the funniest movie they've seen. That's where movie making has stooped to.

Yeah, that was a disappointment. It had a few funny moments but to call it a "film" is disingenuous. It was a money grab like Grown Ups but with guys who haven't completely mailed it in yet.

Speaking of, Grown Ups is one of the worst movies I've ever had the pleasure of being dragged to.
