Your favorite Pop songs from the 80's

The Lounge is for non-sport-related topics other than politics, war and religion. Order up your favorite beverage, kick back and enjoy the conversation! RATING: PG-13
  • I always loved Aimee Mann's voice from Til Tuesday, looked her up, she's still making music! Last album in 2012, watching a video of the song Charmer, still a great voice.

I've always thought guys like him have made a pact with the devil. That's the only way I can explain why my guitar playing is so bad and then yeah there's guys like that.

  • Whether you like Rush or not, IMO this is one of the best videos ever made to accompany an absolutely awesome song.......lyrically at least depending on your musical taste. And if you grew up in the 'burbs, you know what I'm talking about:

So some of you like Aimee Mann huh? Here she is with my guys singing harmony (great song lyrically too........Geddy's worst hair period though btw LOL):

    From the white sands
    To the canyon lands
    To the redwood stands
    To the barren lands

  • Since opening this thread yesterday, I haven't stopped listening to 80's pop yet.

I am only 24, but listening to these songs actually reminds me of playing GTA: Vice City most of all.

I'm sure you guys have some great memories and nostalgia from listening to these songs. I get memories of playing a video game as an early teen... I'm envious.

from 83-89 there was only one reason not to listen to Iron Maiden....getting girls. Don't be envious of what we had to go through to get laid..

I do agree though, the tunes don't sound that bad these days.
