  • I know we've discussed the book here before and many have read it. For those who don't know he's a friend of Pete Carroll's and a guy who's lived an absolutely amazing life including being in the Olympics, and getting shot down in WWII and stranded in the ocean for months, then as a Japanese prisoner of war. If you havnt read the book... you should.

Anyways, looks like its being made into a movie. The Coen Brothers are involved with the writing and Angelina Jolie is the director. Jolie seems like kind of an odd fit, and its not the usual Coen Brothers type project, but having their name attached makes me think it will probably be good.

  • Excellent book. I was hoping it would become a movie. Zamperini's story is nothing short of incredible and awe-inspiring. Jolie as director seems odd but I'll await the previews/reviews to pass judgement.

  • Just ordered book, thanks for tip.
So you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
