  • I've been watching people play it live on http://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Gra ... 20Auto%20V

Most of the streams look great and some of those people are pretty funny. and you can see a lot of the game.

Next year. I couldn't wait though. If they mod it like gta 4. I'll probably get it for that as we'll.

    +1

BTW I got a replacement mobo. NEVER buying an intel mobo again...so cheap. Replaced it with a used ASUS board and noticed an improvement in gaming. Been an ASUS guy since I assembled my first PC 12 years ago, and I decide to try and save a few dollars by getting an Intel.

But yeah...GTA 5 needs to come to PC. The PS3 and 360 are dead to me.

  • Yeah, I'd avoid Intel boards for regular computers. Their server motherboards are a different story, but definitely avoid regular ones. :)

  • Yesterday I won a triathlon, played a round of golf, caused a couple of fatal collisions and murdered a prostitute. Just another day in Los Santos....

Been waiting for this game forever. So glad to finally be playing it. Awesome.

I've played a many of games that incorporate multiple characters. This is the first to meld them so perfectly.

If you like the movie Heat, then your argument is invalid. This game has such a good plot "Heist Movie" wise. Its more then a simulator. Its fucking awesome to just play the characters and follow the story.

  • This is the best GTA to date. I'm having a blast playing it. The only complaint I have is that they chose Apple over Android for initial app support. I have to wait until they create an android app for the game.

  • The app isn't anything special. It just lets you customize the default cars (which you can do in the game anyway) and take care of Chop like a virtual pet. It doesn't even work half the time since Social Club is getting absolutely hammered by millions of simultaneous connections.

But yeah, loving the hell out of the game, especially the heists. Can't wait for it to come out on PC since it kinda looks like ass on nearly decade-old console hardware.

Lucky! I wish I could take a week off and play while my wife is at work and the kids are at school. I love all the subtle things too - people flipping you the bird when you bump their cars... things like that.

I'm looking forward to multiplayer in a couple weeks.

We should probably start a new thread and get a .net crew going.

I've been playing roughly about 23 hours I think, but I know I'm gonna play a lot once they unlock the multiplayer. Plus all my buddies got it for the PS3 so there will be plenty of shenanigans going on.

Just depends on the mission. Some are really easy, some are pretty tough (so far). But GTA is a completely different animal than a game like BF3 or COD. Plus GTA's are open world, and GTA V is BIG, and there's tons of stuff to do besides the story missions. There's lots of side missions, mini games, etc. It'll keep you busy for a while. That's kind of the fun part though... I like going for 100% completion. And it's cool that it's gonna take a while.

If you're ok with a rated R, politically incorrect game, then I recommend.

God, I can't wait for the PC version! I own a 360, and it's taking a lot to keep me from buying the xbox version just so I can experience it! Oh, f-it! I'm ordering it! Damn my lack of self-control... Let's see... amazon.c.... gotta go!

  • This kind of game... I don't really care as much about the difficulty level. I'm here for the story and the sandbox.

Recent stupid fun.. Switching to Trevor is oft hilarious. I get to him, he's riding down the highway chasing some guy on a scooter.... Riding a scooter. Harassing the dude, 'Scooooooter buddy! Where we going scooter buddy?'

This amused me, and I ended up chasing the guy like ten minutes. All the way out of town into the desert. I pull off into a chop shop... And, yes, put a turbo in my scooter. Dropped like ten know into scooter buddy scooter.

Some jerkass in a Dune Buggy clipped me, trashed up my scooter. I introduced him to the joy of sticky bombs.

Cops get all MAD. So I'm fleeing on foot...

Where's a difficulty level come into play?

  • Possible SPOILER.

    Okay, so somebody help me.

I'm on the 2nd Heist I think , I guess it would be Trevor's. The mission says on the map "cargobob" It appears that I must go to the military base. Which Character do I use? And how do I get on the base. Tried to go through the gate and got like 5 Stars. haha. I seem to not have any other missions for any of the 3 characters. Already did most of the side stuff up to this point.

  • It's pretty much a catastrophic launch failure. Will see how long it takes to get functional before comparing it to 'SimCity 5' levels, but it's pretty entertainingly bad.

At least 'Jets Quarterbacking' bad. Rockstar Buttfumbled the launch.

Had to make this car in the SP mode.

Also I think if everyone who plays is on Social Club, we can all be in a crew regardless of system. Obviously we wouldn't be able to play together, but still... At least we could rep .net on both systems. So who's down with starting a .net crew?
