2008 Scion TC. I've gained some weight over the last couple years so having a rig like this helps compensate. Chicks can't get enough.

My brother keeps encouraging me to write a book, but I think I'll just make a website and make it free. I'd honestly feel bad in telling people how to save money and then CHARGING THEM MONEY for doing it. Kind of defeats the purpose I feel.

Just traded my 2001 ford lightning in for a 2013 prius V.

I loved that truck, but it got like 12mpg and took 93 octane gas. It wasn't an issue until recently when both my work and living situation changed, and winshield time is now a fact of life.

Pretty big change! Looking forward to not dropping 90+ dollars at the pump once a week.

Being in the Rockies in Montana, I have to say I love my AWD Subaru. Not to mention the gas mileage, with places being so far apart.

Here's my Subaru:

I know I want a Subaru as my next car but I don't know if I should go with the sportier impreza wagon or the Forester like the pic.

When I went searching for a car, I was actually looking for a blue Impreza WRX. But my Forester was literally thousands cheaper with essentially the same power train. So I obviously chose the Forester.

I test drove the 2014 Forester, and I have to admit, I was incredibly surprised by how sporty it is. My wife liked the 2013 Outback a little better because whie they have the same powertrain, the Outback's slightly larger and has a smoother ride. (Also, we found one that was "used" because it was part of a dealer loaner program, so it was about 5000 dollars less than a comparable 2014 model and 2000 cheaper than the Forester), but if it had just been me, I'd have taken the Forester in an instant. Definitely worth a look.

My Mrs. has a '13 Forester. Very enjoyable drive and much sportier than I had expected.

Old car on the right, new car on the left.

Change in my living circumstances has resulted in a lot more windshield time every month and the Lightning was killing my checking account. So yup, I went with the hybrid wagon. Not the sexiest ride but it's a great road trip machine and I heave a sigh of relief every time I fill up the tank. 30 bucks will take me 400 miles and with the back seats folded down it's got great cargo capacity.

'07 Altima. No pics because my apathy is measured in the accumulated bird poop on the thing.

Finally done paying for the thing, though.

(Seriously, though, solid car and the first I've owned this long without having a hint of mechanical trouble.)

Always loved the Allante. Very elegant. How's the maintenance treating you these days? I assume the engine is like any other GM; but the electronics might be iffy if you don't know hpw to troubleshoot?

-SH

Edit:
Wait, is that an Allante? It looks too "sharp"..maybe it's my Friday night blur, in white pearl you can't see the edges....I've also (lately) never seen one on anything less than 20s.

yessir its a 93 Allante, its the last year they made them and only year with the Northstar motor (pre 93 were dogs) mechanically its great, relatively quick, handles alright. No real problems that are not to be expected from a motor with 176,XXX miles on it. I get 20.8 mpg driving to the airport everyday so thats not bad for a 300 horse motor I suppose.

Electronically its got a few gremlins :D Stereo only works on the right side speakers, defrost only works when it feels like it, luckily I got analog gauges in mine. Electronics and body parts should I ever need them are hard to find. I found a great forum of owners that has been really handy with tips and places to find parts. I also have the 800 page shop manual which has been priceless. I took all the guady emblems off so the only way you know its a caddy is by the front grill. They only made about 3,000 per year so most people dont really know what it is. I love it and told my family when I die I will be buried in it :D

I am not into big rims so I just pulled some off of a seville that looked better then the stocks. The wife says we need a dump runner truck so I am scouring the internet for an old GMC Syclone :D

I just noticed if I can find a Syclone I would own 3 Indy 500 pace cars 8)
