I honestly can't figure out what I want for my next vehicle. I've thought about another Sonata because this one has been so good to me and I really like the way it handles for a car in its price range, I've thought about a Mustang, and a Sequoia. Hrmph. I'm naturally a very decisive person, but when it comes to figuring out a new vehicle to buy, I'm totally not.

I think the Sequoia is so ugly ha. If you get a Mustang it better be a GT manual.

If you want to upgrade from the Sonata that Genesis isn't a bad looking car with great features for the price.

I forgot to include that on the list. The Genesis is also very powerful for a starting-option V6. 333 horsepower V6 in a sedan at the entry level price ($34k) is nothing to sneeze at.

I haven't driven it buy it's gotten solid reviews. Definitely take that over the E Class. Tried to get my wife to look at it when we were out looking but she obnoxiously didn't want to drive it because of the name and we ended up with the Lexus, which is a great car.

I drive a 1992 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon.

Here it is with my brothers lifted 89 GL.

Image

Mod list for my car:
Engine:
-2.2L fully closed deck SOHC
-VF8 turbo-resealed cam crank rear main
-3" downpipe with full 3" uncatted exhaust.
- 2006 WRX top mount intercooler with samco hose.
-MRT intake silencer delete.
-KOYO aluminum racing high capacity radiator.
-running an AFX wide band O2 sensor-
-Has Exedy 12lb flywheel and WRX clutch.

Tranny: Converted from automatic to a JDM 4.11 Turbo 5spd tranny from 94 wrx.

Suspension: KYB AGX with tein S tech springs with 17" BBS wheels with newer Dunlop Direzza tires.

Brakes: WRX fronts Stock turbo legacy rears.

Love her so much. She flies when she has too, and looks damn sexy for a car from the 90's.

When she was in college and graduate school when we first started dating she was one of the stingiest people ever, she lived on like $100 a month for absolutely no reason. She got a laptop in high school and used it for all 7 years of college.

She's quite a bit more free flowing with the funds nowadays, but not bad. I don't let her buy Apple though (see, I'm still kind of a man), only I get to and that's for work.

Here's the '07 Hyundai SantaFe in slate blue (sorta matched our jerseys at the time) on the day I bought it.

Just rolled it over to 100k miles, and it's been paid off for a year and a half. :th2thumbs:

Wanted to try out my new camera at night a few years back. Obviously this was on a whim because I didn't even wash my car beforehand.

I like it, but its not for everyone. The sight lines are a bit quirky, and the suicide doors take getting used to. It has the same engine as the 4Runner, though, so I haven't had a day of engine trouble in 7 years. One of the best features for me is the roof rack, which allows me to port my kayak.

For my next car, though, I've got my eye on the soon-to-be released Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

But seriously....

My brother keeps encouraging me to write a book, but I think I'll just make a website and make it free. I'd honestly feel bad in telling people how to save money and then CHARGING THEM MONEY for doing it. Kind of defeats the purpose I feel.

Just traded my 2001 ford lightning in for a 2013 prius V.

I loved that truck, but it got like 12mpg and took 93 octane gas. It wasn't an issue until recently when both my work and living situation changed, and winshield time is now a fact of life.

Pretty big change! Looking forward to not dropping 90+ dollars at the pump once a week.

Being in the Rockies in Montana, I have to say I love my AWD Subaru. Not to mention the gas mileage, with places being so far apart.

Here's my Subaru:

I know I want a Subaru as my next car but I don't know if I should go with the sportier impreza wagon or the Forester like the pic.

When I went searching for a car, I was actually looking for a blue Impreza WRX. But my Forester was literally thousands cheaper with essentially the same power train. So I obviously chose the Forester.

I test drove the 2014 Forester, and I have to admit, I was incredibly surprised by how sporty it is. My wife liked the 2013 Outback a little better because whie they have the same powertrain, the Outback's slightly larger and has a smoother ride. (Also, we found one that was "used" because it was part of a dealer loaner program, so it was about 5000 dollars less than a comparable 2014 model and 2000 cheaper than the Forester), but if it had just been me, I'd have taken the Forester in an instant. Definitely worth a look.

My Mrs. has a '13 Forester. Very enjoyable drive and much sportier than I had expected.

Old car on the right, new car on the left.

Change in my living circumstances has resulted in a lot more windshield time every month and the Lightning was killing my checking account. So yup, I went with the hybrid wagon. Not the sexiest ride but it's a great road trip machine and I heave a sigh of relief every time I fill up the tank. 30 bucks will take me 400 miles and with the back seats folded down it's got great cargo capacity.
