Picked one of these up several months ago, love it. 2012 Ram 1500 Crew cab, Sport model. V8 Hemi. That's not my truck in the picture, but looks identical. Fun ride, never had anything with that much power.

Hang onto that one bro. Just take it out on a nice Sunday and pull her right back into the garage.

I remember when you bought that TDI Dom. I'm glad it is still treating you right. I remember seeing pics of your and your dad's Barracudas. Just mentioning them does them no justice. They are absolutely immaculate and beautiful cars. I wish I had been smart enough to sock away a Mopar before the prices got out of hand. I've almost bought a couple of Roadrunners, but the prices just get way to steep when I figure in the repairs needed from the salty roads here. I guess that's why the cars are almost affordable around here, but they are rare.

1999 GMC Envoy. I bought it from my grandparents 5 years ago for half of what it was worth and while it isn't the best on gas, it's been a great little SUV that I got for the right price and hasn't needed too many repairs for it's age. I wouldn't mind getting a new car but it's nice driving around in a car for the past 5 years that I haven't had to make a payment on.

I seriously think this is the vehicle I want. I've been wanting a muscle car for fun, but the weather thing makes them worthless here in the mountains. I drive the Toyota Tacoma I mentioned... but this has the engine I like and the looks I like (reminds me of a truck version of the Challenger, which I LOVE).

Can you give me any details on a ballpark range I should expect to pay, any tips on them? I've not negotiated a Dodge purchase since 1996 when we got our Neon new off the lot for a steal.

My Tacoma is worth more than it should be because they just hold value. I may be able to snatch up a 2012 Dodge with 4x4. Is yours 4x4 or just rear wheel drive? Is it smooth? Seat comfort good? I have a TERRIBLE back and need something comfortable. I'm seriously considering selling my Tacoma to a friend who wants it desperately for $31,000 and moving into something a bit more comfortable now that my commute is only five miles and my kids are getting bigger.

Awesome truck. I love the Challenger hood they emulated on this too. Looks GREAT!

Hey Shark, its 4x4, but I mostly drive it in rear wheel, unless I need the 4x4, which has been some bad weather and I've taken it on the beach several times. It has a really cool little dial where you can switch over, even when driving. It has 2 different 4x4 types, Lock and Auto.

It's super smooth on the freeway, just a real comfortable smooth ride, we have taken it on a couple of road trips, just so nice. The suspension is tight, just something to be aware of, but I'm sure nothing different than your Tacoma. The seats are big and comfortable, all automatic with tons of ways to adjust. It even has Cooling seats, not just heated, but Cooling!! :D You might look into the Laramie vs the Sport, I think it has more seat options than the Sport model, from what the salesman said.

I'll PM you price range I was dealing with.

2002 dark blue (it matches virtually precisely our home blue) Hyundai Sonata. Been thinking about buying a new car, but this thing has literally had practically no problems, (alternator has to be replaced a few months back, that's it) still has good performance, etc. I really still like it.

I just traded in the only OTHER color they made of those, maroon, for a Honda. I traded it in for more leg room...and it was the 2nd commuter cars anyways.

They're not bad rides.

Hooray for '04 Nissan's. Have 210k on my Nissan and it runs like new. I've never had a major issue with it either besides regular scheduled maintenance.

Same here. Stock clutch, alternator, starter....pretty much everything and everything still works perfectly.

I had a company car the last 4 years [07 Ford Escape Hybrid] which was great because company paid for the car, gas, tolls, insurance, etc...

Two weeks ago I gave notice as I am switching jobs so I had to return the free car [sniff, sniff].

Went out and bought a 2014 Mazda CX5 AWD Grand Touring in Meteor Mica Gray. I will be commuting about 80 miles roundtrip in bad NJ traffic so I wanted something that drives great yet comfortable & safe in bad weather.

Absolutely loving the way the car drives so far. Very comfortable and plenty of Zoom Zoom for me. I previously had a Mazda6 and loved driving it.

I'm not a 'car guy' at all but have to say I have enjoyed driving my Mazda's very much.

More leg room? How tall are you? I'm like 5'11" and 5/8ths or something, (just shy of 6 feet) and I can extend my legs 100% (locking knees) in both the driver's seat and passenger seat; or are you referring to the backseat? I've made cracks to my sister about how I have more leg room (which I do) in my car than in her Toyota Sequoia.

Backseat, obviously. The Accord kills it in that regard...more room for booster seats.

Plus, I got another one due in April.

I honestly can't figure out what I want for my next vehicle. I've thought about another Sonata because this one has been so good to me and I really like the way it handles for a car in its price range, I've thought about a Mustang, and a Sequoia. Hrmph. I'm naturally a very decisive person, but when it comes to figuring out a new vehicle to buy, I'm totally not.

I think the Sequoia is so ugly ha. If you get a Mustang it better be a GT manual.

If you want to upgrade from the Sonata that Genesis isn't a bad looking car with great features for the price.

I forgot to include that on the list. The Genesis is also very powerful for a starting-option V6. 333 horsepower V6 in a sedan at the entry level price ($34k) is nothing to sneeze at.

I haven't driven it buy it's gotten solid reviews. Definitely take that over the E Class. Tried to get my wife to look at it when we were out looking but she obnoxiously didn't want to drive it because of the name and we ended up with the Lexus, which is a great car.

I drive a 1992 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon.

Here it is with my brothers lifted 89 GL.

Image

Mod list for my car:
Engine:
-2.2L fully closed deck SOHC
-VF8 turbo-resealed cam crank rear main
-3" downpipe with full 3" uncatted exhaust.
- 2006 WRX top mount intercooler with samco hose.
-MRT intake silencer delete.
-KOYO aluminum racing high capacity radiator.
-running an AFX wide band O2 sensor-
-Has Exedy 12lb flywheel and WRX clutch.

Tranny: Converted from automatic to a JDM 4.11 Turbo 5spd tranny from 94 wrx.

Suspension: KYB AGX with tein S tech springs with 17" BBS wheels with newer Dunlop Direzza tires.

Brakes: WRX fronts Stock turbo legacy rears.

Love her so much. She flies when she has too, and looks damn sexy for a car from the 90's.

When she was in college and graduate school when we first started dating she was one of the stingiest people ever, she lived on like $100 a month for absolutely no reason. She got a laptop in high school and used it for all 7 years of college.

She's quite a bit more free flowing with the funds nowadays, but not bad. I don't let her buy Apple though (see, I'm still kind of a man), only I get to and that's for work.

Just rolled it over to 100k miles, and it's been paid off for a year and a half. :th2thumbs:

I like it, but its not for everyone. The sight lines are a bit quirky, and the suicide doors take getting used to. It has the same engine as the 4Runner, though, so I haven't had a day of engine trouble in 7 years. One of the best features for me is the roof rack, which allows me to port my kayak.

For my next car, though, I've got my eye on the soon-to-be released Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

2008 Scion TC. I've gained some weight over the last couple years so having a rig like this helps compensate. Chicks can't get enough.

When you are ready to buy, let me know and I'll help you out on getting a deal. I've helped about 15 people get a screaming deal through little tricks I've picked up over the years. Nothing is in it for me, but to see a friend get a deal. I have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. My brother keeps encouraging me to write a book, but I think I'll just make a website and make it free. I'd honestly feel bad in telling people how to save money and then CHARGING THEM MONEY for doing it. Kind of defeats the purpose I feel.

Sent as PM. However, I totaled my car, so bully for me!

Just traded my 2001 ford lightning in for a 2013 prius V.

I loved that truck, but it got like 12mpg and took 93 octane gas. It wasn't an issue until recently when both my work and living situation changed, and winshield time is now a fact of life.

Pretty big change! Looking forward to not dropping 90+ dollars at the pump once a week.
