I realize this has nothing to do with this particular film, but did any of you ever see the episode of American Dad where Steve and his crew find a script in a plane crash for a Fast and the Furious movie? I think it's #7. They decide the movie has to get made, but the guy they meet in Hollywood says it is obviously fake, because it is missing a LOT of a certain something.
I just couldn't stop laughing at that and why on Earth that randomness popped into an episode of American Dad (which is totally random, but not nearly as random as Family Guy). When they first find the script and Steve is riding it to them out loud and it is showing the scene is one of the funnier things I've seen from Seth MacFarlane (I admit, I'm not a huge fan, but that stuff was pretty darn funny). I especially enjoyed how the script just kept saying, "SICK" over and over.
My wife actually watched most of the Fast and Furious movies when I was so terribly sick because one of the cable movie channels (HBO or Showtime) was running a marathon of them. She's always like Paul Walker for some reason. I think it's because he's exactly 50% as attractive to the ladies as I am or something. Plus she was a huge fan of that show "Fastlane" with Bill Bellamy in it... she loves the slick production values and such. She was talking me through the different movies one day trying to just get me through a rough spell of uncontrollable pain, and she said she actually loved the Tokyo Drift film and watched 2 repeats of it on the other feeds (western feed and so forth). So I am assuming from what I read here that she will probably really like this one if I surprise her with "Date Night" at the movies and go to this one?
We haven't gone on a date in over a year and a half, and I can tell it's a struggle for her to watch me dying and her just pushing through the days trying to pretend all is normal. I'm going to try to pick a movie I know she'll love and hope for the best. It sounds like this one might be the ticket. Thanks for the reviews.
R.I.P. Dad. I miss you. You will never be forgotten
