Just wondering if it was good, it should be with the actors, and the subject matter.

Yea. I went with my mom and dad and my 13 year old nephew. We all really enjoyed it.

My niece watched it opening weekend, said it was excellent. (But for the record, she's 10, so "Twilight" is excellent also)

We just went and saw this and it is an exceptional movie, bravo.

Great movie! The acting was great, Harrison Ford was outstanding as Branch Rickey.
If you don't know the history behind this story see it, even if you do know the history, see it! You'll have a new appreciation for Jackie Robinson, Branch Rickey, and Pee Wee Reese in real life.

Some flak coming out about this film.

First, supposedly the pitcher that made a racist comment, and then threw at Jackie's head isn't true. We don't know what was said, the pitcher's family disputes it, but video (or film) actually shows the ball hitting Jackie in the arm, not the head.

Second, there was only one person to shake Jackie's hand after the home-run, not the entire team. There is even picture evidence of that.

Hollywood at it's finest.
