  • Most of the new artists are way too over-produced for my tastes.

    One of my faves

Word. I really don't like rap. Never have. The closest I've gotten to liking it is the Beastie Boys. But I can appreciate the musical talent from the great musicians, even rappers.
World Champion Seattle Seahawks football. It's an addiction, and there is no cure.
Les Norton - gone but never forgotten. Rest in blue and green peace, my friend.

I can totally understand that because I used to love rap with my whole heart and now I pretty much can't stand it.

If not, it's spoken poetry, no?

What about rhythm? Are drums not music without and accompanying melody?

Drums comprise every single beat note in a musical piece.

I chart out everything for all of my students and it looks just like a written piece but without notes.

If you think drums do not make music, and are easy to play, then I invite you to come and sit in with my band.....

Oh, and BTW. Many studio engineers require drums to be tuned to the key the song will be recorded in. Drum machines do not have this ability, nor do drum machines have emotion, AI has tried to make it so but, nope.

What's wrong with mouth kissing hookers?

When I think old school I think what was old school in my youth. Sugar Hill Gang etc. Then the stuff I grew up on (ghetto boys, NWA) 90's is just old. Stuff coming out today just sucks.
