I was talking with my 13 year old son the other day about the crude talk that Jr high kids often engage in. He hears it all day and gets that it's just part of being that age. I told him that as we get older there are two kinds of people in this world: People who talk about sex and people who are having sex.

That said -- I'm sick of that small group of people who respond to any Seahawks transaction in terms of their own penis. It stopped being adorable like 2 minutes after the beastquake run. Believe it or not, there are some members on this board who are adults. I know, shocking to believe.

So from now on anyone who posts that they ejaculated because the Seahawks signed a backup long snapper -- I'm marking your user account as 'FOE' which means I won't see anything you post ever again. I don't expect you to care, but at least I get to take some small amount of control over the situation.

Because I went through Jr high once already, and once was enough.

Please resume your regular offseason euphoria.

Agreed, totally unnecessary and immature, and brings down what is a really good forum to talk Seahawk football. Besides the fact that if you want want to act like a child there is a forum for just that.

...Honestly though, I hate it when people complain about bringing small children to places populated by adults and then tell the adults to conform. If you don't want your kids to be around adults, keep them away. That simple.

I agree with the first part of this post, but that isn't what Hawkstorian said. He didn't voice a concern about his kids seeing this at all. He just is voicing his opinion that he doesn't like to see junior high type responses to forums populated by adults.

I personally, agree with him but I can understand why others have a need to talk about their excretions, I just don't need to read it.

I think we want adults to act like adults rather than children. I get that you don't understand that though. Again there is a forum to talk all about porn sex or whatever else you would like but it would be nice if the Seahawks forum was about the Seahawks.

I pledge to only talk about the seahawks without mixing in any other topic that expresses individuality.

As this community becomes more and more populous, there will be a greater number of posters and personalities that rub each other the wrong way.

I have been using the friend/foe feature frequently, myself, John. For different reasons, but the experiment has been modestly helpful. It has flaws, but will address some of the issues you are having.

It's funny because I never really made any crude remarks on the net before today. I'm just relaxing and found bone to pick with people against those who share my sense of humor.

I personally believe that there are plenty of intelligent adults who find raunchiness to be funny (yes, myself included) and I don't like being spoken down to because I find the concept of violent diarrhea to be funny. I mean, come-on. It's liquid poop spluttering out of someone's bum...

I'm moving this to the lounge, but I think there is a valid point that it becomes increasingly difficult to enjoy intelligent conversation when they consistently devolve into stupid "jokes" that get perpetuated and repeated. This place is what it is for a reason, and part of that reason is we try to maintain some standards outside the shacked forums.
