  • Someone sent me that today and I roared with laughter.

Sometimes people get a bit carried away with technology don't they? Besides its not shaped right to wipe your butt with.

Did they send it to you on VHS or Betamax?

Sadly on my phone but I was smart enough to send it to my computer. Puppys like that are way better on a bigger screen.

BTW I still have a betamax and its as good a picture as most of the cheap DVD burners.(I have one of those too. not a cheap one but a top of the line Sony) I have a lot of older TV shows on Beta. 79 episodes of Star Trek and 17 reels of Hawaii 5-0. I even had some of those out recently cause they are way better than the POS that's on now.

Knock Beta all you want but until DVRs nothing was easier to set recording times on.

When I was working with AC/DELCO they had training videos customers could use and were blocked big time for recording. Recorded them onto Beta cause it was way to old to accept electronic blocking commands. Then recorded them back onto DVDs.

Thinking of trying that with my DVD. See if can record off the DVR onto Beta. that would be slick.

  • Beta was one of the most blatant example of how money trumps technology. It was always superior to VHS in quality, just never reached a price point most people could or would afford.
