If anyones a fan it will be on this weekend. I like the Mecam auctions a little more, but I think from what I've seen tonight that reality has finally caught up with the Jackson camp.
Some day I would like to use my vacation time and go to SEMA and either Barret Jackson or Mecam.
If you guys have projects what are they?
I have a 74 Nova SS it was my dads car when I was growing up, now it's mine and needs a ton of work.

I have coffee a couple of times a week with car collectors, one with 23 completely restored so of course we watch. Just saw a 57 Chevy Cameo pickup go for $61,600, about right. Normally this first couple of days you can get bargains. After that folks its mostly big money for the best of the cars. Want to be impressed? Tune in saturday night about 7pm, the million $ cars will be out in force for an hour and a half or so. A good friend of mine bought a couple of cars 3 years ago when the tornado blew through and damaged a bunch of the sold units, one of them his a great Olds street rod called the Gambler. Got it repaired, drives it all the time, gets 19 mpg on the freeway!

Nice, I'm mostly into Buicks myself. I like alot of the 60's oldsmobiles as well. A really close friend of my was paralized a few years back so he sold his B5 blue 70 charger RT 440, 4 speed, dana rear end. It was a full rotissere restoration, he did well(very well) first car he's actually made money on.

One of the guys has quite a number of modifieds but his favorite to me is a 50 Olds 2 dr coupe, all black and chrome. Its a thing of beauty.
Really surprised at the price of 2 21 window VW vans last night. One for $37,000, the other for 47. They are normally 6 figures. Maybe something wrong with them you can't see on camera.

Well no matter about how many 21 window VW vans, a Scooby Doo version of one went for $100,000 earlier today.
Curious about the last 2 that come across the block tonight yet.

This afternoon sometime the original HOT ROD LINCOLN will be on the blocks. Owned and built by Charle Ryan who wrote and recorded the song he was a customer of ours at Larry's Automotive in Spokane for many years. We've seen his hot rod and worked on it many times. After his passing another person purchased and restored it. Be quite a treat to see it again. Between it and the original #1 Bat Car of TV fame, and Clark Gable's own Gull Wing Mercedes it ought to be an interesting evening.
