  • Sad day for sure. A flat out all time great who set the standard for so many after her. An unreal singer.

  • I have always said, there's singing, and there is ARETHA and Chaka singing. She was unreal.

  • I saw in my news feed the other day that she had fallen gravely ill, and I knew it was only a matter of time after that. Not a huge fan of her body of work but she could sing.

  • I guess she got down to 80 lbs too. She could just belt, and still could in her late 60's.

  • R.E.S.P.E.C.T Another legend and Icon gone, I wonder how many these days appreciate the walls those from the 50's and 60's knocked down for all of us to enjoy the best Era of modern music, she was one of the big players swinging the sledge hammer.

  • Needless to say, Chain of Fools will feel a little different at the gig next weekend. My old singer from Soulfish happens to be filling in w/us at the show. Great timing to pay tribute to Aretha.

  • Those guys are hilarious. Saw them way back, entertaining to the say the least. Couldn't tell what they were saying but it was pretty funny.
