  • Did anyone see that first episode.

Wow, it was really dark and cool.

  • I watched last night. It was almost like Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch had a baby and that baby grew up to make TV shows. Pretty weird but a cool feel and pace to it. I am looking forward to see how the show progresses.

Ha, I said to my wife this looks like the illegitimate love child of Kubrick and Wes Anderson, so close!

I love what Noah Hawley did with Fargo, so I was already all in on Legion, and I wasn't disappointed. A dizzying acid trip of wtf..........so I'm not sure what I watched, but I liked it.

That is a pretty good pairing as well. Definitely had a Clockwork Orange/Cuckoo's Nest vibe in parts of it.

The Wes Anderson comparison is how stylized the clothing and set design is, the quirky characters/expressions and dance number.

Btw, if you want to get really deep into Legion and Hawley, he's the king of easter eggs in his shows.

Syd Barrett? Reference to one of the original members of Pink Floyd who went crazy and was kicked out of the band.

  • Terrific pilot, I hope they keep the same aesthetic style throughout.

Didn't know too much about the comics so read briefly as to not spoil everything for myself, man they've got a ton of material to work with!

  • Kind of reminds me of the way Mr Robot started out.

  • So I bailed on Legion, too weird and out there for my ADD brain to hang with.

I admire Hawley for this ambitious of a show, but I need more structure and sense to something I'm going to commit 10-12 hours a year to. Same reason I bailed on Mr. Robot during the 2nd season, just too bonkers for me.

I bet this show reminds you of some really out there acid trips in the 60's, it's really different and I watch to try and see where it goes next.

  • That show was absolutely fantastic. Seems there were some indulgent visual parts in that show but we are dealing with an antagonist....

That lives inside the protagonists head, in a very literal sense.

I appreciated the attempts by Hawley and it definitely caught me. I'll stick with it for the second season.

  • Season 3 premiered tonight. Anybody watching? This is probably the best show on TV (not that I've seen them all).
