Doubt the league would approve any prospective owner willing to move the team. Dude self-reported but I guess it would be tough for the NBA to allow him to stay after the Sterling controversy.

IIRC, sounded like he was only a part owner and he was only selling his portion of ownership.

He's the majority owner and he's selling his entire stake in the team.

The HAWKS moving to Seattle, this is meant to be. Unfortunately like mention earlier the NBA would never let it happen. Even though they somehow let Seattle to OKC, cross your fingers you never know.

First things first, what contract do they have with their arena, then what terms are going to be made about the sale. Then comes whatever stipulations the NBA wants to impose and at what cost to do what Hansen would like to do.

Based on the news item that was on KING 5 it appears season tickets and attendance has been an issue, we know all about that and how it affects things.

Atlanta has a lot of competition, and looking into the email a lot of issues with season ticket holders. Atlanta isn't even that great of a sports town. It's a bit of a melting pot of the south.

Seems there is a latent echo coming from Seattle towards Atlanta, isn't that what we were told?

Yeah it sounds familiar. Makes it s###y to hope Hanson buys the team.

Exactly. The NBA has blocked his attempts to sell the team in recent years, so now he can sell the team and nobody is going to block it. Very smart move on his part.
