Yeah, but we don't try and say he had a fantastic day no matter what happens every friggin' game.
The PFT writer didn't say he had a fantastic day. He said he was impressive and he prefaced his praise of Luck by mentioning the two interceptions first. After RW's very first game against AZ some of our comments could have been paraphrased in the same format as the quote from the PFT writer and read as "Despite struggling throughout of the game, RW was nonetheless impressive in his ability to nearly lead a last minute comeback in his very first start." After our offensive struggles against Carolina and St. Louis, we could be paraphrased as saying "Despite a poor stat-line, RW was nonetheless impressive in his ability to avoid most of the constant pressure, avoid making big mistakes, and ultimately contribute enough plays for his team to win the game." You see a professional writer forgetting his objectivity/journalistic integrity when he is more-so simply a writer expressing his thoughts with the good fortune of making a living by expressing those thoughts. If we want a higher standard for his content, that's fantastic and I'm all for it under the sole condition that we also apply the same standard to ourselves.
