Complete player tracking

Barnwell has an article about speed but what I found most interesting is comments about the data chip that players will have now starting 2014

"The league will also be installing receivers in 17 NFL stadiums to track the sensors, which will provide data the league should be able to release in something close to real time."

Barnwell goes into how it can be used for analyzing players. I also think we will see it implemented more into the broadcasts.

I'd love to see stats about the speed with which receivers actually run go routes as an example, in full pads in real game-time conditions. There's a lot of information we don't have, but could, with the proper technology getting implemented.
