  • 2 turnovers... and on defense they gave up 3rd and 12, 3rd and 20, 3rd and 11

talented but not disciplined. they've got some real monsters on the DL.

maybe the DC should dial in something different on 3rd and long?

  • Dolphins seem like a team with a bit of talent but IDK how it's all supposed to fit together or what the identity is.

Saint look very crisp at home on offense and defensive pass rush looks much improved.

Also, Sproles and Graham, stating the obvious, are going to be hell to contain all season.

  • When Drew Brees is on he will tear apart any defense in the NFL. Even on blitzes he rifles the ball into the perfect spot for big plays. Always been a big Brees fan so I'm glad they're looking like their old team.

If their defense can stay in the top 15-20 overall they should be our biggest competition in the NFC. Having our ridiculous home field advantage will help get after him cause I'm not too worried about our offense against their defense. That'll be a great game.

I don't think it would matter (the location) ... usually when the Saints lose,
it's because Brees throws INT's, or the dreaded Pick 6. Pressure him up the
middle with a strong pass rush, and he can be had.

Their strength plays to ours. Our secondary (combined with the 12 and the elements) will make things tough for Brees and they might as well not even try to run. Their D should stay properly gassed.

The Wallace deal was a knee-jerk typically reserved for over-rated and/or over-hyped QBs.

The guy is more track star than football player and IMO, they paid him twice what he's worth. Ouch.

Granted, it would be no "cake walk" in the Super Dome, but in SEA,
I'd put my coin on the Hawks. If Alex Smith, and Kap with a good
defensive effort can beat them, then why can't Seattle?

  • Apparently, the corpse of Brent Grimes, Nate Carroll and The Other Chris Clemons aren't much in the way of a working pass defense.

It also hurts that Cam Wake is out. That dude is a total beast. He helps the rest of that line generate pressure, he's so good.

  • The Colts got beat by Miami in Indy. How?

I have a problem understanding a team that lost to Miami, barely beat the Raiders, and yet takes out the 9ers with ease.

The only thing I can think of is they hate playing at home.

  • @ HawkWow: I guess I didn't make my thoughts clear enough ... sorry about that.
Alex Smith, with a good defensive effort beat the Saints in the Playoffs 2 seasons
ago. Kap -- in his 2nd start -- behind strong pressure up the middle which caused
sacks, INT's, and a Pick 6 -- beat them last season. Therefore, I feel the Seahawks
can/will beat the Saints come MNF 2.December.13, at the Link.

We will definitely beat the Saints at home, bro. Don't think twice about that. My point was that they are very tough at home. Unsure how much you know about the states, but the people in New Orleans save their energy for these events. They don't have jobs and if they did, they'd quit. Just imagine the energy 75,000 unemployed, drunken fans can project onto a football field.
