So much talent, such bad luck with injuries.

Wow. That's a huge blow to that offense, if true.

Sounds like all minor injuries are carted off in KC, due there being a hill back to the facilities. X-rays were negative on the foot, but doesn't necessarily mean he is in the clear. They are calling it a foot strain, but something like a lisfranc (or similar) could be severely debilitating.

If he is less than 100% that will put a ton of pressure on Alex to perform at Qb. Alex looked good in San Fran because he had a Defense and Run game that didn't need him to be anything but a good game manager. I think asking any more of him and we will see the pre 2011 Alex Smith. I hope Charles is fine. If he isn't there goes the Niners chance at a 2nd round for Alex and the Chief going at least 8-8.

Like I posted earlier, there are are many mid foot sprain/strains that do not show up on X-ray immediately, or at all, Lisfranc being one of them. It may be nothing, or it may be serious. Too soon to tell.

I'd like to see the Chiefs bounce back in a big way this season. Glad to hear it's nothing serious.
