Titans released him. Quite a few teams seem interested, including the 49ers (please no, not because I'm afraid but because there shall be no red and gold to taint his blue and green soul). Anyone else think it would be awesome if he came back as our backup to finish his career? He clearly still loves Seattle, so maybe he'd come cheap. Apologies if this has been posted. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000 ... see-titans

I would love him to come back!
It would be just like Junior coming back to the Mariners a few years ago.

That's right! Plus he'd get his Seahawks ring! 8 years too late, but still.

I definitely believe that he's the best backup option out there right now. It makes sense and is a great story, too.

Ideally wouldn't we want our back up to have a similar skill set as our starter? It would be an amazing storey and I'd love for it to happen, but I'd then want the hawks to carry a third qb similar to Wilson.

Championship Stop being such an ass to Hasselbeck! Let's get him a one-day contract, he retires, and works for the Seahawks in some capacity; or are you afraid his last-place-in-NFL-history career might ruin Russell Wilson?

Not bad, we haven't had a "bring Matty back" string for a couple of weeks. Come back for one day, retire as a Seahawk and go live in that beautiful house on the hill in Chelan. Maybe do some sports TV down the road.

When he is done playing then I gots no issue with him being a part of our team. As an actual player for us? Ship has sailed bro. He had his time here and now there is a new sheriff in town. As a backup? I'll take flynn all day.

I would pay top dollar to watch Hass execute the read option for an entire game.

As a backup? I'll take flynn all day. Stop sounding like he rebuffed your sexual advances every time you chime in about him, then. Half your Hasselbeck posts make disparaging remarks about Hasselbeck, not his playing ability. Disparage (within the rules) the people saying to bring him back as a backup to Wilson, and leave the man himself alone.

Oh and his playing ability is no longer good enough for me. The man himself? Don't know him. The player? Oh yeah.... Noodle armed and turnover prone.
