That guy just keeps getting cut huh. Nobody wants to pay a RT. Or I guess maybe #1 pick is a tackle.

So does the Joeckel hype restart?

Swing Albert over to RT, then go Joeckel/Fisher #1?

(or even playing the rookie at RT for a year?)

This almost certainly means Joeckel at #1.

Then work it out from there... Albert's on a one year rental so they can get a close look at him, decide if he's worthy of a longer term deal or whatever. If not, they have Joeckel who really is a natural and fine pass protector.

@Balbert76
“@ChiefsBeef: @Balbert76 Would you be open to playing RT? And they could draft Fisher instead of Joekel who can play RT.” nope

This is likely the case.
However why then would KC even bother giving Albert the tag? If they cut Winston for financial reasons (or whatever) just don't re-sign Albert and draft Joeckel and both your tackles are set up long term. Just gonna have another hole possibly in one year, or (likely) have to overpay to keep Albert long term after spending the #1 pick on a RT (the same draft where you gave up the #34 pick for Alex Smith).
Maybe Reid and this new front office has an, quote "their guy" coming in for cheap at tackle or something? Confusing.

Winston is a run blocking RT, and Andy Reid is . . . Well . . . Andy Reid.

Reasons

1) Don't sign Joeckel - sign someone else
2) Sign both including a long-term deal that is cap friendly and then trade Albert over letting him hit FA and get nothing for him
3) A rookie is a rookie and you don't know what you get until you are done with training camp. Eat the two salaries for one year then let Albert go

Is Everything
Im not typically a lets dign every FA kind of guy but I wouldn't mind a run at him. He's familiar with zone scheme and would be an upgrade from Breno.

Eric Winston is a really, really good RT, honestly. Great locker room guy too.
