...but he's probably not going to clear waivers.

Not exactly, he was a Pro-bowler 3 times (2005,2007,2009) and All pro once (2007). Now he is 34 and his productivity has been declining for a few years. This is a guy you wait on and see if you end up needing him, if he is still available and will take a 1 year veteran's minimum deal.
