There have been exceptions, but by and large playoff games the last two years have been offensive showcases. And I think that trend will continue due too current CBA rules. No padded practices after week 13. By the time the playoffs arrive, it has been a month since teams had a true physical practice. I noticed so much bad tackling, so many bad angles from good defensive squads and good defensive players.
I know this doesn't seem like the most important detail, but I think this is a trend that cannot be ignored in team building.

So they can't even have padded practices for the Superbowl? Or is that the case?
I wonder if the NFLPA would squawk if Russell Wilson took his team through a padded practice the week prior to the Superbowl without coaches around?
