Great player. Sad to hear. Wonder if he retires.

Not his first major injury, is it? Somehow I doubt he quits, though. A muscle tear is pretty recoverable, but this late in the year, not a great chance to come back.

I need to check. Hasn't he missed time before for back surgery/issues? I need to check on my question

The back issue happened in 2016, when he missed most of the season. He broke his leg and was out for most of 2017. He's an awesome player, but given his human relations skills and high esteem across the league, I'd gravitate into an assistant coach role if I were him.

Thank you for that. Man that poor guy has had some bad luck with injuries

Injuries suck. Hate it when it happens to good players who are also good guys.

I feel like he has now spent more time on IR than he has been active. That's some rotten luck.

Not surprised. Hurt every year it seems. Texans would be smart to move on from him.
As soon as they do that he'll be on the Patriots and on the TB12 program and mysteriously his injury issues will be a thing of the past.

Good thing he stayed healthy long enough to make Clowney expendable.
