http://rotoworld.com/player/nfl/11489/anthony-zettelLions waived DE Anthony Zettel.
It's a surprise after Zettel had 6.5 sacks in a starting role last year, but he wasn't a fit in a Detroit scheme that's expected to have more 3-4 fronts. 26-year-old Zettel should resurface on waivers. Sep 5 - 6:45 PM
Interesting, a guy that had 6.5 sacks just last year and is only 26 years old. For what it's worth (I know there's mixed feelings on PFF) according to them, Zettel would have ranked 2nd among DE's on this team last year with a PFF score of 70.7 only behind Dion Jordan with a 85.8 PFF score. Frank Clark was scored at 69.9, Michael Bennett was only 63.2, and Marcus Smith earned a 59.8 PFF score.
It's said Zettel was cut because of scheme fit (not big enough to play in the 3-4 they're switching to). Anyone know if he's actually good or was he just a product of playing opposite Ezekiel Ansah?
