Just saw it's for a fourth round pick. What the hell? Dolphins going full tank mode?

This is funny, it almost seems like it is straight out of the hbo show ‘Ballers’.

Just in time huh?

Looks like there is concern from Mia about his knees, which, would make sense.

Bad knees and that does not void the trade...

His knees have been a concern since his days at Boise State. He was a 1st/2nd round talent that fell to the 5th because of that.

Obviously the Eagles will do their due diligence with the physical tomorrow but Howie Roseman (Eagles GM) has already said today that he's not concerned about it.

The other stuff that spilled out today was that he was becoming a malcontent in that MIA locker room which even if it's true, that team and particularly the offense is an absolute tire fire right now so I don't worry much there.

Eagles gave up the middle pick of their three 4th rounders (MIN, PHI, NE). So there is a good chance that 4th ends up being a late fourth with the middle one likely being their own or New Englands (MINs should be the highest). Not much to give up in a "win now" mode deal.

Massively overrated and a head case.
Care to elaborate?

I remember when Buffalo traded Marshawn to Seattle and he was a "head case".

I remember when Philadelphia traded Shady to Buffalo and he was a "head case"

Considering they gave up a late 4th round pick for a 24 year old RB who has proven he can do it in this league and making less than a million dollars this season and next (325K in 2017, 705K in 2018), seems like a no brainer.

I feel like if the Seahawks did this move yesterday, you probably would have a different tune. He's not coming in and expected to be a bell cow. Blount and Jay will split carries and as it starts to get colder/deeper into the year, that will be a problem for many teams to defend with their power running styles (Jay obviously with more burst).

Eagles didn't have a RB like this and I think he just adds to an already fairly potent offense which will only help down the stretch in the run game and in pass pro

Of course, if Softy has his way----they could have signed 24 year old Barry Sanders and it wasn't going to matter on December 3rd.

Was the executive Howie Roseman? Sounds like a good trade for the Eagles they gave up a 4th for an NFL starter, but he is not close to the player #24 was.

I don't see a ton of difference between the two and don't find it to be terribly outlandish.

Who knows, time will play that one out.

Might be similar in regards to the actual trade itself - a starting caliber RB for a 4th rounder (Seahawks also gave up a 4th for Marshawn and a conditional pick IIRC), but you're not going to persuade a single poster here that Ajayi will have the same ability or influence on his organization that Beast Mode had in Seattle. Beast looked like a generational talent from 2011-2014.

Only time will tell, but it's going to be hard for Ajayi to produce at the same level Marshawn was.

No, not outlandish at all if you only look at the stats, always more to it than the numbers. Don't get me wrong I love the trade and think Ajayi can help the Eagles, but there is only one Beastmode. #fanbias

It's like I said, we will figure out how true that statement is going forward for the next two years. I fully understand I'm not convincing anybody here of what Mike Freeman was told, I'm not that dumb.

However, if the Eagles were to win the Super Bowl this year and Ajayi was a big part of that (Yes, I fully understand there is a TON of football left to be played) then I think that trade would immediately go down as one of the best in Eagles history.

I'm not sure that statement was meant to compare the two directly but more so the impact it could have on their respective team going forward. We obviously know what Beastmode meant to you guys, we will see what Ajayi does for the Eagles.

He's not Lynch, but he just got his first rushing TD! Eagles slaughtering the Broncos. Cuck Osweiler is who he thought he was!
