Coldplay will headline Super Bowl 50 halftime show

The British rock band announced plans to perform at Super Bowl 50 during the halftime show on Feb. 7, 2016.

Other performers will be announced Thursday during the Green Bay versus Detroit game

I don't mind Coldplay - if I am wanting to relax in front of a fireplace in my jammies with a nice cup of hot cocoa, but for a Superbowl Halftime show? That will really get everyone amped up!

FOX has fantastic production. NBC is okay. For SB 50 we're going to get:

Phil Simms commentary
Coldplay halftime

Their main Fan base is the Baby Boomers who are the ones with the money and the numbers, there is a reason why games are becoming as expensive as they are. The Gen X are following a close second.
